Vicky Kaushal's Grueling Transformation for Chhaava!

In his next movie, Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal will play the valiant Maratha warrior ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Vicky revealed in a recent interview that director Laxman Utekar was quite particular about how he should look for the part and that he would not cheat or utilize visual effects until he had fully changed into the character of a real warrior.
Vicky Kaushal stated in a media interview that his most physically taxing part to date was Chhaava. It took him seven months to gain 25 kg of muscle, he explained, and it was a really difficult procedure.
Filming wouldn't start until Vicky had fully changed for the part, which entailed learning how to ride a horse, wield a sword, and go through combat training, according to director Laxman Utekar. In order to preserve authenticity, the director refused to rely on visual effects.
Vicky also revealed that before filming could begin, he needed to concentrate on his physical makeover and grow his beard and hair.
The URI actor highlighted the production's enormity, pointing out that when viewers witness 2,000 people in a scene, they are truly on set. The film's raw and dramatic cinematic experience was enhanced by the participation of 500 of the nation's best stunt performers and 2,000 up-and-coming artists.

The character of Aurangzeb is played by Akshaye Khanna in Chhaava. Vicky Kaushal talked on Akshaye's dramatic makeover, saying that when he first saw pictures of his appearance, he was shocked and found it hard to believe.
He recalled how amazing it was to finally see Akshaye on site, his presence and manner perfectly capturing the character. Vicky observed that spectators will be amazed by Akshaye's portrayal of evil since he had brought the character to life so realistically.
In the meantime, Rashmika Mandanna plays Sambhaji Maharaj's wife, Maharani Yesubai, in the film Chhaava, which opens in theaters on February 14, 2025. Kaushal's next film is Love & War, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
