The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power's much awaited second season is nearly here! More of J.R.R. Tolkien's fantastical universe will be revealed to fans, perhaps with a major Ent appearance. The shepherds of the forest are the Ents, who are eons-old, tree-like creatures. Because of the first season's amazing graphics and gripping plot, viewers were already looking forward to more.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, in its second season, is set to bring even more wealth to the Middle-earth globe. On August 29, it will make its Prime Video debut. In a tabloid interview, one of the showrunners, Patrick McKay, divulged some fascinating information. He revealed that in the upcoming season, the showrunners' own unique additions will broaden the scope of Tolkien's lore.
The addition of Ents, the forest's shepherds, is one of the new season's most eagerly awaited elements. Fans of Tolkien's writing adore these talking, walking trees. According to McKay, this adaptation will introduce viewers to two Ents, one of whom is an Ent wife.
"The shepherds of the forest, which are talking, walking trees," is how McKay puts them. "We know that Ents exist in Middle-earth, but we've never seen a couple of Ents, including an Ent wife," he continues. Ismael Cruz Córdova's portrayal of Arondir is another standout performance. He'll solve a riddle that will lead to a meeting with two Ents.
