Shakira gets honored with Latin Woman of the Year award at the music event!

Shakira, the singer of Waka Waka, receives the Latin Woman of the Year award on May 6 at the Billboards 2023 event. The 46-year-old gave an inspirational speech to accept the honour. The singer accepted the prize while speaking in Spanish and arrived at the ceremony in a chic black minidress and platform shoes. Apparently, she said, "The really important thing is that you stay true to yourself," according to a translated tweet circulated on social media. The pop singer from Columbia also greeted singers like Ludmilla and posed for pictures backstage in viral videos.
While there were other award recipients on the star-studded night, Shakira's noteworthy honour was one of the highlights of the Billboard Latin Women in Music event, which took place at the Watsco Centre in Miami, Florida. The other recipients were Thalia (Global Powerhouse Award), Ana Gabriel (Living Legend Award), Evaluna (Tradition and Future Award), Emilia (Rising Star Award), and Goyo (Agent of Change Award). The hostesses were Ivy Queen and Jacqueline Bracamontes. They not only received prizes but also gave a performance throughout the event.
Shakira is a famous Colombian singer who was born and raised in Barranquilla and is renowned for her musical variety. Shakira gained notoriety as the "Queen of Latin Music" after releasing the albums Pies Descalzos and Donde Estan Los Ladrones.
