Batman becomes the first superhero to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

After Gotham, the Dark Knight has made his way to Hollywood, where he was recently honored with his own Walk of Fame star. On September 26, 2024, the Justice League member got this distinction, which is recognized as one of the pinnacles of excellence in the Hollywood film business.
Big figures attended the event, including Steve Nissen, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Nissen opened the ceremony, saying, "Batman is one of the world's most iconic characters, standing for justice, strength, and fearlessness."

The CEO went on to say that, as a superhero, Batman has always been present for fans via comic books, television shows, movies, cartoons, toys, and video games over the previous 85 years.

Aside from the president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, other notable attendees included Chamber of Commerce board chair Sarah Zurell and DC Comics president, publisher, and CEO Jim Lee.
Hugo Soto-Martínez, a representative from Los Angeles City Council District 13, attended the ceremony alongside Guinness World Records adjudicator Michael Empric.

An actor dressed as Batman appeared during the ceremony, surprising everyone. The actor dressed in the Batman suit posed with the speakers as well as with the superhero's star.
For those who are unaware, Batman is one of the 20 fictitious characters honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Mickey Mouse was the first of them to obtain a star.
