Neena Gupta confesses about feeling jealous of losing a role to Sunita Rajwar!
Sunita Rajwar and Neena Gupta are currently enjoying the popularity of the just launched new season of the highly regarded television series Panchayat. For those who don't know, Neena and Sunita are close friends who have a strong bond. Neena Gupta recently acknowledged that she had envied Sunita for getting a job.
 
She related the story of being asked for a role by a young director during a media chat. Later on, she found out that the same filmmaker had also made contact with actor Sunita Rajwar, who happens to be Neena's close friend. Thinking about this, she thought out loud, "I kept wondering why she would reach out to both of us if she didn't intend to cast me. Sunita and I are very good friends, but we look so different from each other. How can one approach both of us for the same role? There are no similarities," she joked.
 
Neena Gupta went on to say that she frequently becomes envious when a contemporary wins an assignment. “There is a bit of jealousy. I feel jealous when my friends or contemporaries’ bag apart and I don’t, but I also take it in a good spirit,” she further revealed.
 
Prominent characters in the rural drama include Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Sunita Rajwar, Neen Gupta, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, and Faisal Malik. This drama, written by Chandan Kumar and set in the made-up village of Phulera, centers on the story of Abhishek, an engineering graduate who takes on the post of Gram Panchayat Secretary after realizing his IT profession is stagnate.
 
Panchayat Season 3, which was helmed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar, continues in the same vein as its predecessors. The first season debuted in 2020, and the second part debuted in 2022. Amazon Prime Video is presently offering the series for streaming.
