Manoj Bajpayee opens up on changing names in industry!
Actor Manoj Bajpayee has been in the business for more than ten years, and his outstanding performances have demonstrated his extraordinary range and acting skills. He recently offered his thoughts on the practice of name changes in the industry as he gets ready for his next movie, Bhaiyya Ji.

Manoj Bajpayee expressed his dislike for the industry's practice of name changes in a media interaction. He said that early in his career, he considered altering his name, but in the end, he used the desired name for one of his movie characters. Actors changing their names is a widespread practice in the movie industry.
 
Manoj Bajpayee said in a media discussion that he was uncomfortable with the idea of changing names. He revealed, "I never liked the idea of changing names. Even I thought of changing my name long back when I entered the movies. I was told Manoj is a common name. The name I wanted to change to I gave it to my character in Shool -- Samar."
 
Shabana Bajpayee, Manoj's wife and a producer making a comeback in the film industry, also talked about her feelings on name changes. She said she was willing to go by any name that people felt comfortable with, highlighting how nice it felt to be recognized and valued. She remembered being called Neha, which Vidhu Vinod Chopra had given her.
 
She further revealed, “The decision was purely commercial. My screen character name in Kareeb was Neha so the decision. It hypes the film to say introducing Neha as Neha. I was way too young then. This was a decision taken by adults around me. Was I okay with it? I didn’t care either way at that point. I am Shabana but if I am walking down the street and someone calls me Neha, I will turn around.”
