Sujoy Ghosh opens up on wanting to work with Saif Ali Khan!

With the September release of director Sujoy Ghosh's film Jaane Jaan, Kareena Kapoor Khan made her first appearance on Netflix. Although Saif Ali Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were the original picks for the film, did you know that Kareena, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat gave outstanding performances? Sujoy Ghosh and Saif Ali Khan have never worked together on a movie, but the director recently revealed that he has been attempting to work with Saif for a very long time.
During a media chat, Sujoy Ghosh stated that he has been pursuing Saif Ali Khan ever since his first feature film, Jhankaar Beats, and that he has been trying to work with him for a very long time. He stated that he is looking for a screenplay right now to help realize his desire. “If there is ever a script, yes. I’ve been pursuing him since my first film, Jhankaar Beats,” told Sujoy Ghosh.
Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Suri, Rahul Bose, Shayan Munshi, Rinke Khanna, and Riya Sen appeared in the 2003 film Jhankaar Beats. Sujoy Ghosh made his feature directorial debut with this movie. After that, he directed several more movies, including as Badla, Kahaani 2, Kahaani, and Aladin.
Concurrently, Sujoy Ghosh said that Saif Ali Khan was originally slated to star in the movie with him during the premiere of the Jaane Jaan trailer. He said that Saif had a past with the movie and that he subsequently "shoved down his responsibilities on Kareena" in the manner of a loyal husband. “We were supposed to do the film but we couldn’t make it and I believe that every film has its own destiny and now it has happened with Kareena so for me it has come a full circle,” he told.
