Beginning in Budapest, Saif Ali Khan and Siddharth Anand reunite for Jewel Thief. “Back on set with my first hero”

On social media, Siddharth Anand posted, “Back on set with my first hero! How can nothing change? Haha! Love you Saif!”

Filming on the project commenced in February 2024, starring Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Nikita Dutta. Jewel Thief, which is helmed by Robbie Grewal, looks to be an exciting action film. Under his Marflix Pictures company, Anand is producing this movie, which is his second production effort following the high-end action movie Fighter.

The plot of Jewel Thief is yet unknown, although rumors have it that the action centers on a dramatic confrontation between Khan and Ahlawat's personas. Written by Grewal, Anand, and Sambit Mishra, the screenplay for the movie promises a fierce contest of cunning set against the backdrop of a high-stakes heist. Since it became known that Netflix had acquired the film's rights for an alleged Rs. 60 crore, industry insiders have been rife with conjecture.

The prior projects that Saif Ali Khan and Siddharth Anand worked on together, Salaam Namaste (2005) and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007), were commercial hits. After 17 years apart, they are reunited in this movie.

In the meantime, Saif Ali Khan will appear in the next Telugu movie Devara: Part 1, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and is directed by Jr. NTR. The release date is slated for October 2024.
