Medha revealed, “Before I was locked in for the film, I had 16K followers because I never cared about Instagram and didn’t put content regularly.” She noted that her fan base significantly increased following the OTT release, and it is currently over a million. She acknowledged that she was only now seeing how powerful social media is.
For those who don't know, Medha has an astonishing 1.9 million followers on Instagram, where she often reveals peeks of her personal and professional lives.
Speaking about the intricacies of becoming a celebrity, Medha expressed, “Now I am understanding that you are considered a star not only because you are a great actor but also because your social media blew up.” She underlined that this is now an essential component for actors. Most importantly, Medha said, the movie's popularity and the positive reviews she received for it will give her access to new and interesting prospects.
Considering social media's importance, she continued, it's indisputable that it has financial benefits and is a great way to make extra money. Medha stated that she will probably collaborate with several brands as a result of her increasing visibility.
