Fri February 07th, 2025
With The Mehta Boys, Boman Irani made his cinematic debut. The tense relationship between a father and his kid is examined in the movie. The senior actor said he never met his father when discussing his first picture as a filmmaker and how he came up with the plot. Boman also talked about his relationship with his sons and recounted the day he discovered how to handle his five-year-old.
Following the creation of several legendary characters in previous decades, Boman Irani assumed the role of director and produced The Mehta Boys. The film emphasizes the nuanced relationship between a father and son and promises to be an outstanding cinematic experience. The elderly actor remembers never having met his father in a media encounter.
According to Boman, his father passed away six months prior to his birth. As a result, he had no viewpoint about that. However, having two sons of his own, he understands how that feels. The Main Hoon Na actor revealed that his relationship with his children is not at all gloomy.
“The day I learned how to deal with my five-year-old son, he was seven. There’s a monologue in the film which is more or less on the same line,” He informed the newspaper. He said he was drawn to the tale premise when discussing scripting and directing the movie. But because it takes time, the writing phase was the most difficult, and “it is a very exact art and a very exact process.”
On January 29, 2025, the trailer for The Mehta Boys was finally released, following great acclaim at major film festivals. In the family drama, Boman portrays a devoted father who is joined by Avinash Tiwary's character, his son Amay.
