Bollywood actress Richa Chadha is well-known. The actress, who is now enjoying the popularity of her most recent film, Heeramandi, debuted in the renowned Cannes Film Festival in 2012 with the film Gangs of Wasseypur. For Masaan and Sarbjit, she once more walked the red carpet. It's interesting to note that Girls Will Be Girls, Richa and her husband Ali Fazal's first produced film, will also have its premiere at the gala this year.
Even though it's a film festival, people notice how diverse the lineup is in terms of dress. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sobhita Dhulipala are scheduled to attend the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. Meanwhile, Richa Chadha revealed the two previous Cannes looks that she thought were the best in a recent interview.
Richa Chadha praised Mallika Sherawat and Nandita Das' appearances at the esteemed film festival at a media interview. The Zwigato director's simplicity in a saree was admired by the actress, who also praised Mallika for effectively utilizing "her full body and fitness."
She revealed, “I think Nandita Das, who got invited to be on the jury for Cannes several years ago, held her own in a simple saree,” further adding, “There was a lot of critique and ridicule for Mallika Sherawat at that time but if you look back those pictures from 15 years ago, she looked great! She knew what she was projecting. She knew how to make use of her full body and fitness. She created her own persona.”
Richa also says that the fashion industry can be characterized as "independent actress" and is "very, very classist." The actress doesn't let people's opinions of her just because she isn't in style disturb her.
The Heeramandi actress emphasized the "classist" aspect of the film industry by sharing her personal experience. She remembered how high-end designers first refused to offer her their designs, and it wasn't until Masaan's promotions that she was able to hire a stylist.
Richa won numerous accolades for the role she played in Netflix's Heeramandi.
