CBS Postpones Hollywood Squares Reboot Amidst LA Wildfires!
Fri January 10th, 2025
The much-awaited debut of the Hollywood Squares remake has been postponed by CBS due to changes in its primetime schedule. The game show, which was originally scheduled to premiere on Thursday, January 9, will now air on Thursday, January 16.
Due to the recent wildfires that have affected Los Angeles, the network decided that the show's cheerful tone felt out of place among the ongoing coverage of the destruction in California.
CBS has changed its January 9 programming plan to account for the delay. The updated timetable consists of:
• Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage (encore) at 8 p.m.
• Ghosts (encore) at 8:30 p.m.
• 9 p.m.: The first marriage of Georgie and Mandy (encore)
• Ghosts (encore) at 9:30 p.m.
• Matlock (encore) at 10 p.m.
While they wait for Hollywood Squares to debut, viewers can continue to enjoy their favorite shows thanks to this temporary modification.
Hollywood Squares will move to Wednesdays as part of CBS Game Night after its debut on January 29. It will come after Raid the Cage and The Price Is Right at Night. Drew Barrymore will take the famous center square, while Nate Burleson, co-anchor of CBS Mornings, will emcee the program.
