In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, Vicky Kaushal will appear on screen alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Bhansali is renowned for his superb cinematography and fantastical majesty, but he is also known for his critical and analytical style. Kaushal talked candidly about working with Bhansali in a recent interview, stating that his presence on set captivates him. "One can't just randomly talk about unrelated things when he's tuned in," he added.

The Chhaava actor clarified that Bhansali pays attention to all the details surrounding the frame, including the lighting, the direction of the background, and the movement of the curtains, in addition to the actor's performance. He said he was mesmerized by Bhansali's accuracy.
Kaushal revealed that Bhansali is open to suggestions and prepared to try new things on site, unlike what many people think. He went on to say that Bhansali never goes out of character and is constantly considering the scene or the one after. While Bhansali maintains his composure while filming, Kaushal observed that he is totally involved in creative discussions.
According to earlier reports, Alia Bhatt will play a cabaret dancer in Love & War, while Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor would play Indian Armed Forces troops.
The film, which is slated for release on Eid 2026, is directed by Bhansali, who intends to complete the production of his epic story of romance, drama, and action by October 2025.
