The Buckingham Murders, starring Kareena Kapoor, debuted in theaters earlier this year. The actress, who is gearing up for the release of Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, recently emphasized that every film has its own distinct audience, particularly in light of Hansal Mehta's dismal performance at the box office.
Kareena Kapoor revealed in a media chat that her less successful Fridays are history because of her development, aging, and maturity. She boldly identifies as "film intelligent," crediting her renowned film family and the smart, gifted people in her life for this understanding. She underlined that having these people in her life keeps her grounded in reality.
“Each film has a different audience, especially in today’s time. The audience that’s going to watch Singham (Again) is obviously not the audience for Buckingham Murders, it was more English, cerebral, an indie kind of movie. But also Jaane Jaan on Netflix audience is different than the audience that is going to watch Crew. You have to understand how to balance that out, and that, I think, I have learned to do,” the Heroine actress revealed.
Hansal Mehta also talked about his disappointment with his murder mystery's box office performance. The seasoned director vented his annoyance at people who only consider his work's commercial potential. He thinks that movies have become "reductive," with viewers focusing more on the box office receipts than the plot and characters.
