South diva Rashmika Mandanna to play a lead first time opposite Salman Khan in Sikandar! Fri May 10th, 2024

Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala are reportedly collaborating on an action-packed film helmed by AR Murugadoss. The makers soon announced in a formal statement that Sikandar is the name of the Eid 2025 release. Since then, there have been many rumors and assumptions regarding this action-packed entertainer's female protagonist. Furthermore, a media source reported that Salman Khan, AR Murugadoss, and Sajid Nadiadwala have locked down Sikandar's female lead.

Sources close to the development claim that Rashmika Mandanna has joined Sikandar and is ready for her first-ever working alongside Salman Khan. “Sajid Nadiadwala was on the lookout for a fresh pairing as the script demands that at the writing level. He narrated the subject to Rashmika and the actress was excited by not just her part, but also the overall approach of AR Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala to mount the film,” disclosed a source close to the development.

The person went on to say that Sikandar is much more than just an action movie. “There’s a strong story that results in an outflow of drama and emotions. The wholesomeness that the script has to offer is what has excited both Salman and Rashmika for the film, and the duo is all excited to take it on floors in June,” the source further revealed. The insider claims that Rashmika has a very well-written, author-endorsed role in the story, serving as a major catalyst for the conflict.

After Animal's success, Rashmika Mandanna has a solid slate of feature films with Sikandar. The actress's next films are Pushpa 2, Chavva, and Sikandar. It's interesting to note that Sikandar will mark Salman Khan's diamond jubilee release because 2025 marks his 60th birthday.
