Sonu Nigam opens up about singing for Junaid Khan starrer Maharaj! Fri June 28th, 2024

The impact of renowned playback singer Sonu Nigam on Indian film is just incomparable. The singer, who is well known for songs like You Are My Sonia, Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin, and Sandese Aate Hain, has contributed his voice to the movie Maharaj, which stars Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan.

Sonu Nigam discussed his experience crooning the devotional song Achutham Keshavam from Junaid Khan's first film, Maharaj, in a media interview. The musician considers himself "fortunate" to have a close relationship with Yash Raj Films.

"I truly value that I had this personal equation with Yash (Chopra) ji. Anything related to YRF is special to me," he told.

Speaking about the track, the singer revealed, "I'm so glad that Achutham Keshavam happened for Maharaj. Singing for Aamir's son's debut and my friend Siddharth Malhotra's directorial venture made it all the more memorable."

Aamir Khan and Sonu Nigam earlier worked together on the 2022 movie Laal Singh Chaddha. In the film, the singer performed on songs like Kahaani and Main Ki Karaan?

They had previously collaborated on movies such as Fanaa and 3 Idiots. Sonu Nigam sung Jaane Nahin Denge Tujhe and Zoobi Doobi for 3 Idiots, while he crooned Mere Haath Mein and Dekho Na for Fanaa.
