Tue October 22nd, 2024
Over the years, Indian director Karan Johar has collaborated on films with nearly every B-town celebrity. The 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai had a brief collaboration between the actor and the director. Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra chose to hunt the hunter and question him about his rapid-fire round when they were sitting on the couch in Koffee With Karan Season 8, Episode 5. KJo provided an incredible response when asked how he persuaded Salman Khan to star in a film.
On Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra were asked to share some secrets on the coffee couch. When the two attractive hunks questioned the director in Season 8 Episode 5, he became the center of attention. Varun and Sid urged that they ask some urgent questions about him and B-town when the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani creator welcomed them for a brief rapid-fire round.
Soon after, the Bhediya actor asked Karan, who was readily persuaded of it. The Badlapur actor asked, “How do you get Salman Khan to say ‘yes’ to a movie?” To this, he responded, “Beg, borrow, steal.” Sid, an actor from Shershaah, chimed in and requested the director to list his three closest pals in the business. Everyone laughed aloud when the filmmaker, without giving it any thought, chose the names of Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan but was unable to think of a third person he could call his friend in the business!
Karan Johar had already hinted at a potential big-screen partnership with the Tiger 3 star.
The filmmaker revealed, “I have the deepest respect for Salman and his entire family. My father was very close to Salim Saab (Salim Khan). The fact that Salman said yes to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has never left my heart. All I can say at this moment is that the relationship will hopefully find celluloid space very soon. I am not confirming it, nor am I denying it as I am superstitious about certain things. I will speak about it when the time is right.”
