Amrish Puri's grandson Vardhan opens up on nepotism in Bollywood!

Nepotism is a hot topic of discussion in the industry. As we all know that every time a star kid endeavors into showbiz, the nepotism debate gets rife all over again. Amrish Puri’s grandson Vardhan Puri is foraying into Bollywood with Yeh Saali Aashiqui. Given the fact that he hails from the family of one of Bollywood's greatest villains, it was obvious that Vardhan too will be considered as a product of nepotism.
Speaking about the same, Vardhan specified that while nepotism does exist in every industry, it isn’t applicable in his case as his grandfather passed away while he was still in his teens. Instead, making debut in Bollywood was quite an organic process for him. “Nepotism exists when a star or a superstar in a family can go pitch you from office to office, make calls and ask people to take your son or grandson. That has never happened to me. So, it has been a very organic process for me. I don’t personally feel that nepotism debate is applicable in my case,” Vardhan told in a media chat with an entertainment portal.
Interestingly, Yeh Saali Aashiqui not only marks Vardhan’s debut as an actor, but he has also written the screenplay of the film.
Directed by Cherag Ruparel, Yeh Saali Aashiqui also stars Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead and is slated to release on November 22, 2019.
