Alia Bhatt's Jigra fetches Rs 90 crore from sale of digital and satellite rights!
Preparations are now underway for Alia Bhatt's film Jigra to hit theaters. In this action thriller, she'll be on film with actor Vedang Raina from The Archies for the first time. Although people can't wait for the movie to come out, Jigra has reportedly already made back its whole budget. According to reports, the film has made Rs 90 crore from the sale of its satellite and internet rights.

Jigra is reportedly already profitable for the producers, according to a report in the media. The website states that the film has an 80 crore rupee budget, with an extra 10 crore for print and promotion.

The entire budget has reportedly been recovered by Dharma Productions with the sale of the film’s digital and satellite rights. "Every cent that the movie makes from music rights and theater sales will be a profit for Dharma," the portal's insider declared, complimenting Karan Johar's acumen in business.

The source further disclosed that Alia Bhatt and filmmaker Vasan Bala's partnership is the reason for these high costs. Netflix viewers responded favorably to both Vasan's film Monica, O My Darling and Alia's dark comedy Darlings from 2022.

The insider claimed, "Netflix agreed to pay a premium price of Rs. 70 crores for Jigra when Karan made this combo a reality and suggested it." It appears that another Rs 20 crore was obtained via satellite.

Jigra has a U/A rating, according to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) website. The movie is 155 minutes long, or two hours and thirty-five minutes, according to the official length.

Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra, Jigra is presented by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions. October 11, 2024 is when the film is supposed to be released in theaters.
