Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar gear up to address Australian Parliament ahead of IFFM!

A legislative session featuring Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar is scheduled to take place in advance of Melbourne, Australia's Indian Film Festival. On August 13, they will both be the first famous people asked to represent India in the Australian Parliament. Karan and Rani will talk about how Indian film has crossed boundaries of both culture and location. The actress-filmmaker team expressed their joy at being a part of this conversation in advance of the event.
Rani Mukerji reportedly said in the Australian Parliament that she is honored to represent the Indian film business. According to Mukerji, it is her "honor" to talk about the expanding cultural exchange between Australia and India via film.
Given how many artists and films from India are currently gaining international recognition, the 46-year-old actress continued, "Indian cinema is at the forefront of shaping pop culture worldwide."
Mukerji, who is most known for films like Bunty Aur Babli and Mardaani, added that Indian cinema allows viewers to experience a variety of emotions. The actress went on to say that she is honored to use film to showcase the variety and culture of India.
Calling it a "historic event," Karan Johar expressed his enthusiasm about speaking to the Australian Parliament and expressed his gratitude for being a part of it. The director went on to say that he is appreciative of the opportunity to showcase the rich history and narrative of Indian cinema. He also expressed gratitude to the members of the Australian Parliament for the invitation.
According to reports, the Melbourne Indian Film Festival will pay tribute to the late director Yash Chopra by presenting his stamp. This year's film festival is set to kick off on August 15.
