Prateik Babbar's heart-warming tribute to his mom Smita Patil at screening of Manthan!
Prateik Babbar saw her late mother Smita Patil's debut film, Manthan, in Mumbai last night as a proud son. Numerous B-town celebrities attended the event as well, and they honored the seasoned actress in a very special way. Priya Banerjee, Prateik's girlfriend, was present at the function.
 
In order to find something to wear for the screening, the India Lockdown actor decided to raid his mother's closet and took one of her Kanjeevaram sarees.
 
Prateik Babbar, the actor son of Smita Patil, turned eyeballs with his gorgeous costume at the recently held screening of her film Manthan. But because it's created from one of the actor's mother's sarees, it's more than just an ordinary suit—it will always hold special meaning for him.
 
Rahul Vijay, the fashion designer who made the outfit for him, thanked the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actor for giving him the opportunity to produce the masterpiece.
 
He wrote, “Thank you @_prat for letting me dig into the archives of your late mother, and the very iconic #SmitaPatil. When Prateik called me up asking me to dress him up for the Indian premiere of #Manthan, #SmitaPatil’s first movie that was shown at the recent Cannes Film Festival, I knew I had to bring in elements of Smita Patil’s style into his look.”
