The soundtrack of Hate Story 3 is a mixed bag with some good numbers intermingled with some typical compositions.

The erotica stays in the newest installment of Hate Story with the third starring Karan Singh Grover, Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan and Daisy Shah in lead roles. Written again by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Vishal Pandya, this one too follows a similar theme of revenge spiced up with dollops of erotica. Obviously, the music for the movie is also anticipated to be on similar lines with some sensual and memorable tunes in the offering from the composers (Amal Malik, Meet Bros and Baman) with the lyricists (Rashmi Virag, Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Shabbir Ahmed) too matching up to the theme of the movie. With just four tracks, the album is a small one for sure but one anticipates the team to come up with some class memorable tracks!

The album begins with song Tumhe Apna Banane Ka which has been composed by Amal Malik. For a change, it is really a pleasant astonishment to listen to a recreated version of a much loved song since the composer has done quite a decent job by not only making it relevant to today’s youth but also including the exact amount of sensuousness required for the song. The singers (Armaan Malik and Neeti Mohan) have also done a great job with their rendition. Neeti, particularly is spot on behind the mike and makes this song a sensible listen.

The next song Tu Isaq Mera starts with some trendy rap (Earl Edgar) after which Neha Kakkar takes over and adds on to the ‘oomph’ quotient with her sensual vocals. Meet Bros (minus Anjjan) have come up with some catchy beats in this seductive number with Kakkar’s melodious vocals! Kumaar’s lyrics match the mood and setting of the number and the hot and sexy video should only help to increase the acceptance of the song.

The next one is newcomer composer Baman’s Wajah Tum Ho. Despite the brilliant singing by Armaan Malik, the song is not as per expectations. It is just that there have been too many tracks with similar tunes in recent times, that there is no unique factor in this number.

The next one is Neendein Khul Jaati Hai by Composers Meet Bros. A naughty and fun track in a vengeance story? Now that is indeed a pleasant surprise! With a lively rhythm and best singing by Mika Singh, Neendein Khul Jaati Hai passes the test. Shabbir Ahmed comes up with some enjoyable and naughty lyrics which matches the tone of the song.

On the whole, the soundtrack of Hate Story 3 is a mixed bag with some good numbers intermingled with some typical compositions. Regardless of the bold theme, the composers have managed to integrate other genres (fun and romance) in this short soundtrack and therefore deserve full marks for their work.

The songs Tu Isaq Mera and Tumhe Apna Banane Ka are melodious and lively numbers.
