Film Sanam Teri Kasam's album is the melodious soundtrack from composer and singer Himesh Reshammiya
Sanam Teri Kasam is an forthcoming Hindi movie starring beginners Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane and has been directed by the director pair of Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru who are best known for directing the Salman starrer, Lucky - No Time for Love. With a title indicating romance, it is but clear that music will play an essential part in this love tale. Composer Himesh Reshammiya has come up with nine tracks for this movie which, if the end result turns out well.

The album begins with the title track Sanam Teri Kasam and is an absolute winner. No astonishment then that this track appears in two versions with the first one being sung by Ankit Tiwari and the Repeat version being sung by Mohammed Irfan. Palak Muchhal plays the common link providing the female playback and though her singing time in both the tracks is limited, her honey dipped vocals manage to stay with you long after the song is over. Ankit Tiwari has always surpassed himself in romantic tracks tinged with a bit of sadness and hence this track is familiar one for him.

The next one is Kheech Meri Photo is sweet, lively and adorable. This catchy number has been sung by Neeti Mohan along with Akasa Singh and Darshan Raval. Neeti Mohan particularly, has a ball singing this energetic number and Reshammiya’s composition has a fun arrangement which assuredly deserves a repeat listening.

In the very next composer Himesh Reshammiya takes over the mike for Bewajah, which is a poignant soft rock number. But the disadvantage is that despite the beautiful composition, Reshammiya taking over the mike seems to be an error with the composer-singer sounding off-key in certain places. However, it unquestionable is a nice track and tuneful number.

The next Arijit’s Tera Chehra which is yet another soft and romantic song. Composer Reshammiya keeps it simple with a very delicate arrangement and letting the entire emphasis remain on the singer, which is a masterstroke indeed on his part since the outcome is fairly pleasing to the ears. Arijit handles the responsibility with delicacy and delivers a near-perfect rendition.

The next one is Haal-e-Dil, which appears in two versions with the male version being sung by Indian Idol 5 winner, Sreerama Chandra and the female version sung by Neeti Mohan. The composition has a magical quality to it and is emotionally charged. No wonder then that both the singers have gone all out to give a passionate rendition.

In very next, Himesh tries a fusion track with Ek Number which has quite its share of English lyrics. While the chorus as well as certain verses are quite hip, the tune shifts track to a more emotional one in certain lines (sung by Neeti Mohan), which makes you wonder the kind of situation in which the song appears in the movie. But, the hook line is quite catchy and Himesh (behind the mike) sounds adequately hip-hop which should please his admirers.

The album ends with track Main Teri Yaadon Mein is a disco-styled number which has been sung by Arijit. The song has a melancholic feel. Arijit does a neat job.

Overall, one can securely say that film Sanam Teri Kasam’s album has managed to shock one and all with some lovely tracks.

Reshammiya has repeated again that he is as dependable as it gets particularly with respect to melodies. The album has a good chance of becoming popular amongst today’s youngsters.

The songs Sanam Teri Kasam, Kheech Meri Photo, Haal-e-Dil and Tera Chehra are tuneful.
