The Night Manager Falls Short at International Emmy Awards!
The 52nd International Emmy Awards list is available here. Indian comedian and actor Vir Das, who took home the 2023 International Emmy Award for his stand-up show Landing, has hosted the prestigious event. In the meantime, the French drama Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God) won the Best Drama prize, defeating the Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Sobhita Dhulipala film The Night Manager.

Fans were devastated when the French drama Les Gouttes de Dieu won the International Emmy Awards, despite their intense support for The Night Manager, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Sobhita Dhulipala.

"The International Emmy® for Drama Series goes to “Les Gouttes de Dieu [Drops of God]” Produced by Legendary Entertainment / Les Productions Dynamic / 22H22 / Adline Entertainment / France Télévisions / Hulu Japan #iemmyWIN," the caption shared on the official X post read.

Aditya Roy Kapur and Sandeep Modi, the creator of The Night Manager, walked the red carpet together for the momentous occasion while holding an Indian flag. For the esteemed occasion, the pair wore black tuxedos.

An Indian version of the British television series of the same name is called The Night Manager. It was widely praised by viewers when it was published in two parts in 2023. It is worth noting that the first British adaptation of The Night Manager received international acclaim, taking home two Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes in 2016.

Aditya had talked about how excited he was about the event in an interview with a daily before it happened. He acknowledged that he was pleased with the nominations but wasn't considering the outcome. "Cherry on top" is how he described it if they were the winners.

"As a team that worked so hard, it's a validation. It's heartening to see your work get recognized on such an international platform. But the biggest validation comes from the audience. To know they enjoyed it... everything stems from there," he was quoted as saying.

More than 56 nominees from 21 nations, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the UK, India, and France, are included in the event, which is held at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City.
