Rachel Zegler wins action movie star of the year at the People's Choice Awards!

The 22-year-old actress Rachel Zegler won the People's Choice Award for Best Action Star for her role in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. The movie took home the Best Action Movie award as well.
Feeling deeply touched, Zegler planted a kiss on the lips of her boyfriend and co-star, Josh Andrés Rivera, before going up on stage to collect her prize. She thanked the crowd and expressed her love for movies while acknowledging that she felt like an outsider in the business. She also thanked the audience for accepting her for who she is. “I love movies,” she told. “I love making them. And I am a fan of movies, and I’m surrounded by movie fans tonight and movie fans who voted and I’m so thankful to everyone who’s ever bought a ticket and watched something that so many people have made. For so long in this business, I didn’t think I fit in,” Zegler further revealed. “But tonight you have made me feel like I don’t have to change myself to be chosen and I appreciate you so much.”
Zegler thanked everyone involved in making The Hunger Games, especially Tom Blyth, her co-star, and director Francis Lawrence, calling Blyth her "best scene partner." She also sent her sincere gratitude to Josh Andrés Rivera, her life partner, for his support.
