Ranvir Shorey remembers bonding with Sushant Singh Rajput over physics during Sonchiriya shoot!
In 2002, Ranvir Shorey made his Bollywood debut in Ek Chhotisi Love Story after working as a video jockey and starring in several TV series. He appeared in numerous award-winning films, including the action picture Sonchiriya, which he co-starred in with Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interview, Shorey recalled how, among other things, they grew close to Sushant over physics.

The role of Vakil Singh in Abhishek Chaubey's Sonchiriya is well-known for actor Ranvir Shorey. Accompanying him was Sushant Singh Rajput, whose portrayal of Lakhan Singh turned the movie into a hit. The two actors became close while filming the feature film because of their shared love of physics. In a recent conversation with a journalist, Ranvir remembered, “I wouldn’t say we were close, but we were friends. We worked together. He had been home a few times. And we actually got along quite well during the two-month-long shoot of Sonchiriya. And we bonded over physics because both of us love physics. We had a lot of conversations on that.”

The actor from Angrezi Medium also recalled using the telescope that Sushant had flown into the shooting site to view the Moon and other astronomical objects. “I remember when we were shooting, there was an eclipse. It was a lunar eclipse and Saturn was lining up behind it. He flew down his big telescope from Bombay just for that,” he disclosed.

Shorey went on to say that there was a large telescope in the lawn during our Dholpur shoot. The star of M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story extended an invitation to all for drinks. “That’s the only time I’ve actually looked through a telescope and seen it straight,” Ranvir told. He further revealed, “There were three. Moon, Jupiter, Saturn lining up. With my own eye. And I’m telling you, the feeling of seeing it through your eye via a telescope is very different from looking at it on a screen. There’s something. I don’t know what it is. It’s a different quality of experience; fond memories.”
