Meenakshi Seshadri made her acting debut in the 1983 picture Painter Babu, but it was Hero that catapulted her into stardom. Among the many films she has worked in is the 1987 action-drama Dacait.
The actress discussed her kissing scene with Sunny Deol, which was later removed by the censor board, in a media discussion.
Meenakshi Seshadri, an Indian actress and classical dance instructor, talked candidly about her kissing scene with Dacait co-star Sunny Deol at a media discussion with a media outlet. Speaking on her first-ever filming experience with Deol, she said, “We had a romantic song in which we’re both on a boat before the song starts and he kisses me. It was an actual kiss. It was a little nerve-wrecking for me because I am very conservative.”
She went on to say that she didn't even feel like doing that after the first film Painter Babu, in which she wore "pretty revealing" attire. A kiss was therefore "extreme." But the scene was eventually cut and never made it past the censor board.
She referred to the Gadar 2 actor as a "gentleman," saying that she felt at ease and at ease working with him because of the way he treated her. “He was such a gentleman. He was so relaxed and so easy to work with that it went through so smoothly. And I think that’s the reason why, all the other movies that I did with him, Ghayal, Ghatak and Damini, we had this very good equation and understanding.”
