Kunal Kemmu reminiscences his first meeting with Soha Ali Khan's family members!

The actor Kunal Kemmu revealed that he was really nervous when he first met his in-laws, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore. In an interview, Kunal reminisced about his love affair with his wife Soha Ali Khan and related the story of his first encounter with her mother Sharmila Tagore and brother Saif Ali Khan.
In a recent conversation on Raj Shamani's podcast, Kunal Kemmu revealed that he had pictured Soha as a possible partner while watching one of her films, but he thought she was "way out of (his) league." When questioned about his initial encounter with Soha's relatives, Kunal shared, “The meetings happened organically, but I was terrified.”
When asked who he was most afraid to meet, the actor replied that meeting one's parents always makes one feel more nervous, especially since everyone in her family is a champion. He added, “The first time I met Saif bhai was, we used to go play pool at a friend’s place. Bhai and his friend came together, and we met for the first time while playing pool. And the first thing he noticed about me was, ‘You’ve got good biceps. I remember he was the coolest person.” Then he said that he only hung out with him and that it was a bit early for him to ask about his intentions. They've spent so much time together that they hardly ever talk about movies, and he's naturally kind. He went on to say that Saif has a wide range of interests and that he likes to converse with people about what fascinates them.
On the other hand, Kunal discovered that his initial encounter with Soha's parents caused him additional worry. The most terrifying experience, he said, was meeting Soha's mother, Sharmila Tagore. Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, her father, was similarly cool, yet despite his sweetness, he still felt afraid. He added, “I remember Amma didn’t make eye contact with me for the longest time. Her questions weren’t directed at me. She asked, ‘So, what do you do?’ looking at a magazine. That was the first meeting, in the second meeting I got eye contact, and then we became really cool.”
Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu dated for a few years before getting hitched in 2015. They welcomed their daughter, Inaaya Naumi, into their family in 2017, which was two years later.
