Kajol recalls about a moment when Shah Rukh Khan encouraged her to learn how to act!
Two of Bollywood's most recognizable performers, Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan, have captivated fans with their remarkable on-screen chemistry in a number of films. Had Kajol not been motivated to pursue acting despite feeling "burned out" and as though "she couldn't move" following her third film at the age of 18, their renowned duo could never have happened. Shah Rukh was the one who urged her to "learn to act," saying that doing so would make the experience much more enjoyable for her.

In a recent conversation, Kajol discussed her part in her third movie at the age of eighteen, Udhaar Ki Zindagi. Shah Rukh Khan advised her to learn acting techniques during that time, a suggestion that originally perplexed Kajol.

She stated, “I remember I finished the film and before that, Shah Rukh was like, ‘You know you just have to learn how to act.’ I was like, ‘What is this? What is he talking about?’ Of course, I’m doing a fabulous job!”

Kajol quickly realized that her performance in movies was affecting her personally. She became tired of doing "heavy-duty roles" by the time she finished her third movie and acknowledged this.

The actor talked about her experience filming Udhaar Ki Zindagi, saying that after finishing the project, she went to her mother and told her how tired she felt. She said that, at the age of barely eighteen and a half, she felt totally burned out, that she was unable to cry or use glycerin, and that she did not want to continue taking on difficult parts.

Rather, she was interested in projects that involved "four scenes and ten songs." She signed four movies that matched her new perspective as a result of this change in her tastes, including Gunda Raj and Hulchul. She went on to say that she really began to learn the acting craft after this time.
