Junaid Khan opens up on Working with Advait Chandan and 'Loveyapa' Casting! Wed February 05th, 2025

In 2024, Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan debuted as an actor in the Netflix movie Maharaja. He is currently preparing for his big-screen role with Khushi Kapoor in the romantic comedy Loveyapa. Junaid revealed that when Loveyapa was first presented to him, he wasn't sure if he should accept it. When director Advait Chandan approached him to play the lead, he admitted that he was a little taken aback because his demeanor was so dissimilar from the part.

Junaid Khan revealed in a media chat that he was first taken aback by his selection for the part since he believed his demeanor was so dissimilar to the character's. He disclosed that he even asked the director if they were positive, he was the proper person for the job.

Despite his reservations, he pointed out that producer Madhu Mantena and director Advait Chandan were sure of their choice to cast him.

Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan talked about how Loveyapa is a replica of the Tamil movie Love Today. Junaid said that the idea came to him from filmmaker Advait Chandan, who told him he had obtained the Tamil film's rights and recommended that he see it.

Junaid revealed that the story's straightforward idea—a man visiting the girl's family and her father requesting that they trade phones—attracted and thrilled him right away. He also called Love Today's director, writer, and actor Pradeep Ranganathan's work "fantastic."

Khushi Kapoor said she loved the story right away when she saw the original movie, which her father had suggested.

She noted that there were no second thoughts about accepting the position following the initial narration. She commended Sneha, the screenwriter, for her witty narration, which gave the impression that they were viewing the movie. Khushi went on to say that she was excited to be a part of it and that she never had any doubts.

In addition to Junaid and Khushi, Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda play significant parts in Loveyapa. On February 7, 2025, the movie will be released in theatres.
