Manisha Koirala reveals real reason for not uniting again with SRK on screen!
Mani Ratnam's film Dil Se was released 26 years ago, but it is still considered a cult classic today. Fans adored the starring coupling of Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala. But have you ever pondered why this onscreen couple never collaborated again after the movie? In a recent interview, the Heeramandi star opened up about it, saying, “In this industry, the heroes decide whom they want to work with, not the heroines.”
 
Speaking with a media source, Manisha Koirala said that she worked with Shah Rukh Khan after Dil Se in a film called Guddu, but it is not widely known. Speaking further, she explained that in her field, heroes choose who they want to work with, not heroines. This provided an indirect signal about the Dunki star's decisions.

Manisha fondly mentions Mani Ratnam's Dil Se, Bombay, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Khamoshi as some of her best performances.
 
But did you know that, despite its current cult reputation, the SRK and Manisha starrer did not perform well at the box office when it was released? In fact, in previous interviews, Mani Ratnam blamed the fiasco on his poor Hindi skills.
 
In terms of work, Manisha most recently appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's online series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar as Mallikajaan. Her performance in the show was well received by the audience, and now that the second season of the show has been announced, we can only wait to see what Mallikajaan has in store for her admirers.
