Alia Bhatt to reveal about her first memory of wearing saree! Fri May 10th, 2024

Alia Bhatt has often stated how much she adores sarees. The actress wears the costume with pride, whether she is flaunting it in her films Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Gangubai Kathiawadi or wearing it at international events. A few days prior, Alia wowed everyone with a stunning floral saree while walking the Met Gala 2024 carpet.

Alia recently recalled her first experience donning a saree. She also shared a different professional path she personally explored.

In a recently chat, Alia Bhatt talked about her first recollections of donning a saree as she prepared for her performance at the 2024 Met Gala. Alia revealed, “I remember the first time I wore a saree was for Teachers’ Day. I was in the 9th grade, and as I reached my school, my pleats opened.”

She further revealed, “So I went into the bathroom, and they were like, ‘Baby, kya ho raha hai? (What’s happening?)’ and like quickly, quickly, they were putting my pleats back for me.”

Speaking about her designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Alia disclosed that he had previously told her he wanted to be an architect and that he became a fashion designer by accident. Then Alia revealed that she has options for a career outside acting. She said, “I have discovered that I would be a wedding planner. I love planning. I love plans.”

One of the most striking aspects of this year's Met Gala was Alia's mint-green Sabyasachi saree, which she accessorized with exquisite jewels, flawless makeup, and a chic haircut. She received praise from people all around the world for her appearance and attire.

Regarding her profession, she will play the lead in Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which is scheduled to begin production in 2025.
