Karisma Kapoor discussed where she found inspiration for the costumes in her earlier films during a media Q&A. According to Karisma, the actress was given instructions beforehand regarding the clothes she needed to wear, but she eventually began to take part in choosing her own appearance.
Speaking about her inspiration, the late actress Sridevi, Karisma stated, "I think generally we were inspired by what was happening in the West, old stories of actors, and especially what Sri ji (Sridevi) used to do."
Praiseing Sridevi, the 49-year-old actress revealed that "she moved with the times." "I was inspired by her as a child," the Dil To Pagal Hai actress continued, mentioning her roles in films such as Sadma, Chaalbaaz, and Lamhe.
Murder Mubarak, a mystery thriller film, starred Karisma Kapoor. Her most well-known roles are in the films Zubeidaa, Raja Hindustani, Hero No.1, Biwi No.1, and Hum Saath-Saath Hain, among many more.
