Mon February 24th, 2025
Aamir Khan is more than simply one of B-town's well-known actors. In addition, he is a modest individual who values art before money and is straightforward and sincere. Therefore, the actor only accepted payment from producers when his films were highly successful. In an interview, Mr. Perfectionist said that he hasn't collected his acting pay in the previous two decades.
In an interview with a media outlet, Aamir Khan discussed how he earns money in the business. According to the Ghajini actor, he has not charged a set price for acting for the last 20 years. Rather, he only gets paid if the movie does well at the box office.
Khan revealed, “Pichle 20-21 saal se main fee nahi leta film karne ki. Toh agar aapko film pasand aati hai toh main kamata hoon, aur agar nahi, toh main bhi nahi kamata (From the past 20–21 years, I have stopped taking fees for doing a film as an actor. So, if the film is liked by the audience, only then, I make money. If not, even I don’t earn.)”
Aamir now has a better understanding of the economics of filmmaking after transitioning from acting to producing. Therefore, he believes that if the project is budgeted Rs 200 crore and the actor charges a high price, the movie will not be able to recoup its expenses in the event that it fails.
The talented actor also revealed in the same interview that he earns money in the business using the most traditional approach. He is therefore free to try new things. On the professional front, the PK actor is co-producing and will soon be featured in Sitaare Zameen Par. Lahore 1947, which stars Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, is his upcoming production as a producer.
