Sabrina Carpenter to share a preview of Taste music video featuring Jenna Ortega!
Thu August 22nd, 2024
Sabrina Carpenter posted a preview for the music video of her third composition, Taste, featuring Jenna Ortega, on Wednesday, August 21, following the release of two chart-topping singles, Espresso and Please Please Please, off her upcoming album Short n' Sweet, which is set to drop on August 23.
Carpenter can be seen pulling a knife from a bed full of weapons in the 16-second song teaser she uploaded on social media. She then walks into the entryway of a big home and heads upstairs to the bathroom, where she discovers the Wednesday actress and her colleague Disney Channel star canoodling with a man under the shower. Carpenter charges at Ortega with the weapon as terror fills her eyes.
Sabrina is recognized as a songwriter for Taste, alongside Julia Michaels and Amy Allen. Ian Kirkpatrick and John Ryan produced the song, while Dave Meyers filmed the music video, which clearly echoes Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 horror classic Psycho.
“I’ve been known to share,” she sings on the track, according to a tabloid. “You’ll have to taste me when he’s kissing you.”
“I’ll write any song,” When queried about the song's alleged explicit content, the 25-year-old pop sensation said. “It doesn’t mean I’ll put it out, but I’ll write it. I think the series of unfortunate events I’ve encountered in relationships are no secret to people who know me or think they know me.”
