Mickey Rourke and the Hit ‘em Up singer were also featured in the aforementioned movie. Working with Tupac was amazing, the French Dispatch actor said the publication, adding, “He was incredibly focused.” They ended up spending a lot of time together while filming the venture, Brody revealed.
The actor said that Tupac turned gorgeous after they spent a lot of time together. He revealed, “close with Mickey. And Mickey really took me under his wing at that time.”
The Manhattan Nocturne actor revealed that the musician was already well into his own career but hadn't reached the mega-stardom pinnacle at the time, while looking back in time to remember their night outs together.
Brody said, “He had a big rap career, but he was not ‘Tupac’ yet. He didn’t even have ‘Thug Life’ tattooed on his chest yet.” The actor remembers the two of them "writing graffiti," and the later artist scrawled "Thung Life," to which Brody revealed he had no idea what Tupac was alluding.
