It's fair to assume that The Family Man was one of the most popular online web series. The drama, which starred Manoj Bajpayee as the primary lead, was directed by Raj and DK and has garnered such positive feedback from viewers that the producers have decided to renew it for a third season. However, prior to the release of The Family Man 3, there were rumours that the actor was being compensated handsomely for his role as Srikant Tiwari in the show. However, on a recent talk show, Manoj dismissed all of these reports.

 

According to certain rumours, Manoj Bajpayee's pay is comparable to that of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. When asked about this in a discussion, Manoj Bajpayee dismissed the charges, claiming that OTT programme makers are just as terrible as film producers. He also said that producers are only willing to pay major performers, and he did not receive the money he deserved for The Family Man. He went on to compare himself to Chinese sweatshop workers. Extending on this argument, he emphasised that huge brands have factories in China because their labour is cheap, and he is the cheap labour here.

 

Manoj Bajpayee's next films/web series that have already been shot and are set to be released shortly include Abhishek Chaubey's Soup, in which he will share screen space with Konkana Sen. According to Manoj Bajpayee, it has turned out quite well. He will appear in Joram, which is being produced by Zed Studios.
