Among Bollywood's most varied actors has been Emraan Hashmi. His range of performances, from amorous to negative, has enthralled audiences. Tiger 3, the film he co-starred in with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, was well received in theaters. In a recent interview, Emraan reminisced about his first encounter with Shah Rukh Khan and discussed his experience working with the Sikandar star.
Salman Khan's alleged tardiness on the sets was addressed by Emraan Hashmi during a media interview. He said that although Salman has his own timetable and agenda, he is "the best people to work with," and they both like each other. In addition, the actor said that although Salman and him are "not friends," they nevertheless "mutually respect" one another.
Thinking back on his collaboration with Salman Khan, he stated, “When we were shooting together, sitting together on sets, it felt like I was talking to a friend. He is a lot more senior than me but we both have grown around the same neighborhood of Bandra, we also talk about fitness. It is easy to converse with me, there are times when you feel a certain kind of ease with some people, I feel that way with Salman.”
Furthermore, Emraan disclosed that he had 'mentally prepared' himself to turn down Maneesh Sharma's offer of Tiger 3 for the negative role.
But after hearing the director read the script and show him the character graph, he understood that Aatish is more than just a "uni-dimensional role"—rather, the character has a point of view. His portrayal of his persona was more akin to that of a "anti-hero," whose beliefs ran counter to the myth of the hero.
The last time we saw Emraan was in the Dharma-supported web series Showtime.
