Emraan Hashmi admits to prioritizing money and fame in his early film choices!
Showtime, supported by the well-known director Karan Johar, becomes one of the most notable web series of 2024. The series, which is directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, stars an outstanding ensemble cast that includes important roles played by Rajeev Khandelwal, Emraan Hashmi, Mouni Roy, Shriya Saran, Mahima Makwana, and Naseeruddin Shah. The series, which was just published, has received positive reviews from both critics and viewers. In an interview, Emraan Hashmi discussed his early professional decisions and acknowledged that, as a young man, he had pursued movies purely for financial gain and celebrity.

In a media interview, Emraan Hashmi was asked if the beauty, wealth, and luxury of the industry inspire him more—his passion or its benefits? Emraan acknowledged that throughout the first six or seven years of his profession, the benefits were the only thing that kept him going. His primary driving forces at the time were money and fame, and he acknowledges that he wasn't nearly as devoted to his profession as he is now.

When he looks back on his early years, he characterizes himself as naive and inexperienced, only learning as he went along. The Tiger 3 actor highlights that entering any field comes with a learning curve, where one can either enjoy the ride and learn from it, or make mistakes. He observes that as initiatives mount and success increases, the industry is less lenient.

He further revealed, “I have to say that if someone tells you it's not about the money or it's not about the fame, they are lying. Because we are suckers for the attention. I think insecurity is something that comes out of that also. Actors fear anonymity as much as people say that it doesn't really matter. They want to just you know probably leave a legacy and sometimes if it doesn't work it's fine, it's not fine. If it doesn't work, it kills you from the inside because it's so much of you investing yourself in the film. "
