Director Amar Kaushik opens up on Shraddha Kapoor's name in film Stree 2!
In 2018, Amar Kaushik made his feature film debut with Stree. The horror-comedy was so well received that the director decided to make a sequel, which debuted this year and is called Stree 2. While the year's highest grossing movies are the talk of the town, fans are equally interested in learning the role played by Shraddha Kapoor in the franchise was originally named. The filmmaker has spoken out regarding the various rumors that have been circulating regarding the female lead's name.

Those who have seen Stree 2 will recall the sequence at the end where Vicky is told Shraddha Kapoor's character's name. Based on Rajkummar Rao's response, it was determined that it wasn't a very noteworthy or enjoyable experience. Soon, various suggestions concerning the likely name of the female figure arose online. Director Amar Kaushik addressed all of them in a media chat, putting them to rest.

The filmmaker revealed in Hindi, “Naam jo hai uska vo ek boht badi mystery hai. I think tumlogo ko kaafi samay rukna padega uske liye. (Her name is a huge mystery. I think everyone will have to wait longer for that to be revealed.)” Kaushik went on to say that the team as a whole had numerous conversations over the same. He thought back to the moment when they managed to extract a sincere response from Rao and Kapoor called his name in his ear.

He claimed that during the filming, he gave Shraddha a name to say in her co-star's ear. The director of Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao was not aware that the actress from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar had been instructed to say a certain name. They consequently receive the appropriate response from the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video star. According to certain hypotheses, Shraddha's character might possibly go by Munni, a reference to Amar's horror-comedy Munjya, which starred Abhay Verma and Sharvari. However, Amar rejected this line of reasoning, declaring that if it were the case, the film would get shortened.
