Preity Zinta talks about her IVF journey before welcoming Gia and Jai through surrogacy! Wed September 04th, 2024

Preity Zinta is not only a recognized Bollywood star, but also a loving mother of two lovely children. She is happily married to Gene Goodenough and has two children, Gia and Jai, through surrogacy. The actress recently confessed that she chose IVF and that going through a difficult phase made her want to smash her head against the wall.

In a recent media interview, Preity Zinta discussed the difficulties she encountered during the IVF process, underlining how emotionally difficult it was for her. The Lahore 1947 actress began by admitting that it is important to focus on one's job while also acknowledging that life is not always fair. She went on to discuss the biological clock and how there are no equal opportunities for everyone.

"People forget that for women, as actors, your craft is important; you want a body of work, but family is equally important," she revealed. The actress, who is getting ready to return to the big screen, felt prepared because her children are now more than two years old.

The 49-year-old actress spoke out about her personal issues, admitting that she, like everyone else, has good and bad days. She admitted that staying upbeat might be difficult at times, especially during a difficult period.

"I used to feel like that during my IVF cycles. It was very difficult to be smiley and nice all the time. Sometimes I just wanted to bang my head on the wall and cry or not talk to anybody. So yes, it has to be a balancing act for all actors,” she revealed.

Preity Zinta married America-based finance analyst Gene Goodenough in a private ceremony in 2016. In 2021, she gave birth to twins named Gia and Jai through surrogacy.
