Huma Qureshi Joins Rajkummar Rao in Maalik with a Special Twist! Mon March 10th, 2025

In Rajkummar Rao's upcoming gangster thriller Maalik, Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is expected to leave spectators speechless with a stunning dance sequence appearance. Fans who are anticipating the film's June 20 premiere this year are excited by the news. According to the most recent rumors, Huma finished filming her appearance in Maalik last November. The movie was directed by Pulkit and produced by Kumar Taurani under the banners of Tips Films and Jay Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films.

A report by a daily quoted a source revealing, “In the sequence, Rajkummar’s character and his gang get a tip-off that the man they are looking for is at a local bar. They head to the bar for an in-and-out job. That’s where Huma is seen performing.” Elaborating it further, the source added, “The choreographer has designed it as a raw and earthy dance number, along the lines of ‘Chikni Chameli’ from Agneepath [2012]. Maalik’s story is based in Allahabad and Lucknow. For the song, the set of a bar, as per those found in Lucknow, was built.”

In contrast to his recent comedy hits, like as Stree 2 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Rajkummar Rao makes his acting debut in an action thriller, Maalik, as a full-fledged mobster. The movie, which concluded production in November 2024, chronicles Rao's evolution from a thugs to a feared member of the underworld.

All eyes are on Maalik's June 20, 2025, release date as it moves into post-production. Rao debuted the film's first trailer on his 40th birthday in August 2024, showcasing his gritty gangster character and giving away a raw and compelling plot. With the fourth season of Maharani, Huma Qureshi keeps up her busy schedule. The teaser was released by the makers a week ago. “From an uneducated homemaker to the Chief Minister who dares to shake the system, battling power struggles, betrayals, and political warfare reaching new heights, this season promises to be the most gripping yet,” read a press release.
